Welcome! We are looking forward to dancing with you and experiencing the wonderful world of Tango together.
Our classes are in the Salon style of Argentine Tango.  If you’re not sure what we mean by this, click here for some video examples of different Tango styles.  We will cover everything you need to know about the dancing itself during the classes –  this section is about what you need to know before you come.

If you already dance Argentine Tango, and are considering joining us, you will be most welcome.  There is a lot more information about our approach here.  Please feel free to contact us so we can discuss which classes will be most suitable for you.

Getting started
The best way to get started is with our Technical Foundation Programme, which lasts about 12 weeks.  We run these programmes three times a year, starting in January, after Easter and in September.  If you want to start dancing Tango now but the latest programme has already started, we have a number of ways to help you catch up.  Please contact us so we can discuss all the options to get you dancing as soon as possible.

intro2tango
During the first week of each programme we run a special intro2tango taster session.  This is a gentle introduction to get you dancing.  It will help you decide whether you like Argentine Tango and whether our approach works for you.  By the end of the class you will be able to do a few simple steps with your partner, in the Tango embrace, and have started to explore Leading and Following.   The cost is £10 per person.

Your first Technical Foundation Programme
Tango is  enormously enjoyable and rewarding, but like many of the best things in life, it requires a bit of perseverance to get the most out of it.  So, after the first introductory class, we thoroughly recommend that you commit to weekly classes for at least the next few weeks.    The programme builds week on week to give you all the most important elements to get you dancing.   If you need to miss two or more consecutive classes, especially towards the beginning, there are various ways we can help you catch up.  Our classes are put together very carefully and supportively to help you through the challenges of doing something new and different, and we find that  most people soon start to get the hang of it.  There is more about the Technical Foundation Programme here.

What to do now
Please contact us to register.  We will then send you our General Information Handout with everything you need to know about joining your first class.
