Shoes

Please do not wear outdoor shoes for classes as the grit damages the dance floor.  Bring a clean pair to change into.
From the Progressive Class onwards it is a requirement for both men and women to have proper dance shoes for both safety and technical reasons.
There’s more advice about shoes here.

Timing
Please arrive early.    The way our classes are structured, it’s important not to miss the beginning, and we believe in starting  on time.
We  start the music 10 – 15 minutes before the published start time so you can practise and warm up.

Practice
We strongly recommend you practise as much and as often as possible, especially if you want to make good progress and improve your technique and style.  Whenever possible, we schedule practice time before and after classes to help you refresh your memory of previously covered material and to warm up.  Then, use the practice time afterwards to fix what we’ve covered in your mind and muscle memory, and to aid retention.
