Tango South Website

Apparently our website has been down for a couple of days to Users accessing it through Internet Explorer. Apologies for the inconvenience. It was working OK with Firefox (which we use) which is why we didn't notice. The pesky little gremlins have been dealt with and things should be back to normal now. However, just to add to the fun, we will be switching to a different web hosting provider over the next week or so - we hope you won't notice a thing, but further apologies if you do.

Next Monthly Milonga at Farnham, Saturday 13th March

Our Milongas are fast gaining a reputation for the friendly welcome, superb venue, lovely floor, great sound system and wonderful music to dance to.

Dancings from 7.45 to 11.15pm at St Joan's Centre, Tilford Road, Farnham. Just off the A31 and 200 yards from Farnham Station. Click here for directions. Plenty of off-road parking. Complimentary light refreshments - feel free to bring your own additional drinks.

Station Hill Farnham - Closure from 22nd March to 17th May

The culprits are Southern Gas Networks who are putting in a new gas main, right by the level crossing, so there will be no direct access from the A31 to Tilford Road and St Joan's Centre. The Surrey County Council suggested diversion, which we reckon will add ten minutes to your journey - given average traffic (?) - can be found here. However, you are probably better off heading for the centre of Farnham, then taking the A287, Long Bridge, from the one way system, which gets you over the A31 and the railway line, then turning left into Alfred Road. Social Evening & Informal Milonga - Sunday 28th March

Join us to celebrate the completion of the current programme, with complimentary refreshments and a glass or two of wine.

There will be three events making up the whole evening :

- Foundation Skill Class (consolidation) at 5.15.

- Open Class (simple introduction to Vals, Milonga & Chacarera) at 6.30.

- Informal Milonga - 7.30 to 10.30.

One event - £8, two or three events - £10.

Our last evening before the break will be Sunday, 28th March

First evening after the break will be Saturday 10th April - our monthly Farnham Milonga

New Classes, Venues* and Evenings after Easter

From Sunday 11th April, we will have a new weekly schedule:

Sunday Evenings at Farnham (Memorial Hall) will stay the same.

Tuesday Evenings at Whitchurch (Testbourne Community School)

- New Foundation & Progressive Classes.

Wednesday Evening at Whitchurch (Gill Nethercott Centre)

- New Foundation, Progressive & Invitation Classes.

Thursday Evenings at Farnham (St Joan's Centre)

- New Foundation Class, followed by Practice Evening (8.30 - 10.30) as at present.

We are stopping our Friday evenings at Basingstoke.

The last evening at Basingstoke will be on Friday 26th March.

Just off the A34, a few minutes north of the A303 junction, these new venues will give fast and easy access to Dancers from Andover, Basingstoke, Newbury & Winchester.

Even Farnham, our other major centre, is only 45 minutes away.
